The “Brightness” module determines the average image brigtness, the so called grey value in a user defined number of ROIs (Region Of Interest). The brightness tolerances are checked within each ROI. The module provides a “Good” result just if the brightness is all right in every ROI. The grey value of the “Brightness” module is made available to all subsequent modules. They can adopt their parameters to the current image brightness. Even the evaluation of widespread ROIs is no problem. The position of the ROIs in the image can be adjusted with the help of the results from preceding modules.
Advantages:
- Lamp failures are detected instantly.
- Confirm illumination homogeniety.
- Improve tolerance towards external light.
- The “Brightness” Module adjusts its ROIs to compensate positioning tolerances.
